This is a handmade wire tree. This tree is secured to a piece of beautiful spider wood!
This sculpture combines nature and art through capturing the beauty of trees in a copper form.
As you look through the pictures notice that this driftwood as a beautiful arch in it, making the sculpture look weightless as it bends upwards from the ground. The tree appears to grow out of the spiderwood and is held in place by torsion and the root system the wires built while I was sculpting the tree from the center of the spiderwood.
15" long (from the end of the spiderwood to the other end)
14" wide (spiderwood & tree overhang)
25" tall (from bottom of spiderwood to top to tree)
Displayed at the Juice Bar at Market Square from March 1st - 28th, 2018 for the February featured artist.
