Crow Chasing a Butterfly
This watercolor painting was inspired by the Shinedown's song "The Crow and the Butterfly". The butterfly covers her eyes and matches the blue mist that seems to cross her lips and drip down the painting. The butterfly symbolizes a beautiful and innocent life lost, while the crow sits on her head and represents her own inner thoughts and memories that are unable to let go of the death. The roses that seem to grow out and around her are symbolic of not only her love, but the growth and start of something new and beautiful.
