Evening Walk was inspired by evening walks on long gravel paths through old growth trees lit by lanterns in Sequoyah Hills in Knoxville, Tennessee, where a small footpath winds through a neighborhood settled along the Tennessee River in an area that has been inhabited and utilized as a meeting place for humans for hundreds of years, with indigenous people once living on this land. As a figure walks through down the treelined path, they imagine and respect the people of the past and the hardships they faced, as well as the love they must have had for the same exact land. An original alla prima oil painting that highlights the beauty of the current and the past.
