Gorillas is an oil painting that captures a mother and baby Western Lowland Mountain Gorilla inspired by Kumi and Cletey who are residents at Zoo Knoxville where Bethany was invited to paint white-handed gibbons and Malayan tigers en plein air. While there she saw new born Cletely and was inspired to capture the relationship gorilla's have to both love and food, a very shared experience with humans. Painted from May to August 2026.
